What Are Group Programmes?

Skills, confidence and friendship

Group programmes are structured NDIS day activities where participants come together to build practical skills, grow their confidence and make real friendships. They are a chance to learn, connect and belong, in a welcoming, supported group.

At 1 Care Connect, our group programmes are planned around the people in them and backed by a nurse-led team, so participants with health needs can take part fully and safely.

Are group programmes funded by the NDIS? Yes. Group-based community participation and skill-building activities are commonly funded within your Core Supports or Capacity Building. Your support coordinator can help you include them in your NDIS plan.

Are group programmes funded by the NDIS?

Usually yes. Group-based community participation and skill-building activities are commonly funded. Speak to your support coordinator or Local Area Coordinator, and read more on the NDIS website.

Can participants with health needs take part?

Yes. Our group programmes are backed by a nurse-led team, so participants with complex or high health needs can join in fully and safely.

Can I do group programmes and one-to-one supports?

Absolutely. Many participants combine group programmes with community access, in-home care or transport. We help everything work together under one provider.
