Community Access Western Sydney
Community access is about meaningful inclusion, friendship and participation, always at your own pace. We help you get out, join in and build the connections that matter to you.
Getting out, joining in, belonging
Community access is support to take part in the life of your community, from social activities and hobbies to appointments, shopping, volunteering and connecting with others. It is about inclusion and confidence, not just outings.
At 1 Care Connect, community access is built around what genuinely matters to you. A consistent support worker who knows your goals helps you participate on your own terms, at a pace that feels right.
Is community access funded by the NDIS? Yes. Community participation is commonly funded within your Core Supports, Assistance with Social and Community Participation. Your support coordinator can help you include it in your NDIS plan.

What is community access under the NDIS?
Community access, or community participation, is support to take part in social, recreational and community life. Under the NDIS it usually sits within Core Supports, Assistance with Social and Community Participation.
What kinds of activities can you support?
Social groups, hobbies, outings, shopping, appointments, volunteering, faith and cultural activities, and skill building, whatever helps you connect and take part. We plan around your interests, not a fixed menu.
Will I have the same worker each time?
Yes. We match you with a consistent worker who shares your interests and understands your goals, so support feels natural and builds real trust.
Is community access funded by the NDIS?
Usually yes, within your Core Supports. Speak to your support coordinator or Local Area Coordinator, and read more on the NDIS website.
What areas do you cover?
We support community access across Western Sydney and the Greater Sydney region. See our locations page or call us to check your suburb.
