NDIS Respite Care Western Sydney
NDIS respite care gives participants a safe, supported short break, and gives the carers who do so much a genuine rest. Short Term Accommodation with a nurse-led team you can trust.
A supported break, for everyone
NDIS respite care, also called Short Term Accommodation (STA), gives participants a safe, supported stay away from home and gives family carers a genuine, well-earned rest. It can be a single night, a weekend or a longer planned break.
At 1 Care Connect, respite is more than a bed. Our nurse-led team means participants with health needs are properly supported, and the stay is a positive experience: new activities, new faces and a real change of scene.
Is respite funded by the NDIS? Yes. Short Term Accommodation, including respite, is commonly funded within your Core Supports. Your support coordinator or Local Area Coordinator can help you include it in your NDIS plan.

What is NDIS respite care?
NDIS respite care, or Short Term Accommodation (STA), is a supported stay away from home. It gives the participant a safe, positive break and gives family carers a genuine rest. It can be a night, a weekend or a longer planned stay.
Is respite funded by the NDIS?
Yes. Short Term Accommodation, including respite, is commonly funded within your Core Supports. Speak to your support coordinator or Local Area Coordinator, and read more on the NDIS website.
Can you support complex health needs during respite?
Yes. Our respite is nurse-led, so participants with complex or high health needs, including clinical care, are properly supported throughout the stay.
How long can a respite stay be?
It is flexible: a single night, a weekend or a longer planned break. We work around your needs and your NDIS funding, and can support both planned and short-notice respite.
What areas do you cover?
We provide respite and support across Western Sydney and the Greater Sydney region. See our locations page or call us to discuss.
